After recently returning from injury, AC Milan may, again, be without Ismael Bennacer, as a report has claimed that he will be assessed on Wednesday if he can make the trip to Brittany.
Few players have struggled with injuries more than Bennacer over the last year. First, his long-term injury prevented him from playing for more than 200 days, and there have been a few concerns since then, but nothing as catastrophic.
During the African Cup of Nations, he missed two of Algeria’s group-stage games due to injury and was not immediately available for Milan selection upon his return.
Sky (via MilanNews) reports that he could miss the second leg of the Rossoneri’s Europa League play-off against Stade Rennais. The midfielder was subjected to a few challenges on Sunday, and Stefano Pioli and the medical team will decide whether he can fly to the game on Wednesday.
At this moment, nothing major is expected, but it does not bode good for his availability soon following his most recent absence.
