Joshua Zirkzee, a striker associated with Arsenal and Manchester United, has emerged as AC Milan’s top target for the summer transfer season.
This season, the Dutch forward has established himself in Bologna, scoring nine goals in 24 Serie A matches.
Several Premier League clubs have expressed interest in the 22-year-old’s performances, including Arsenal and Manchester United.
However, Zirkzee is also on the radar of Italian power brokers, with AC Milan reportedly interested in the forward.
According to Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), he is the Rossoneri’s top target this summer.
AC Milan is looking to sign a striker who may be a long-term replacement for the elderly Olivier Giroud.
They’re looking at several young forwards, but Zirkzee is the club’s top focus right now.
Another forward on the club’s radar this summer is RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.
It remains to be seen whether AC Milan can truly compete with Arsenal or Manchester United once the Premier League sides become serious.
