Newcastle United now set to complete deal of £35m rated star

Newcastle United want to buy Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer.

FootballTransfers reports that the Ukrainian is a wanted man.

According to the article, both Bayern Munich and Newcastle are interested in signing Zinchenko, which comes as no surprise.

Both teams are searching for a new left back. Alphonso Davies is expected to join Real Madrid this summer, and Dan Burn is no longer performing well for Newcastle.

Zinchenko himself may be looking for a way out of Arsenal. Jakub Kiwior appears to have surpassed him in the Emirates’ left-back pecking order, and Jurrien Timber’s expected return may push Zinchenko lower down the hierarchy.

The £35 million man has just been with Arsenal for 18 months, but it appears like another move is on the way.

He has two very interesting clubs looking at him, and there are a lot of considerations Zinchenko will have to consider if bids come in.

Bayern Munich are now in disarray, and with Thomas Tuchel due to leave in the summer, it is unclear who will take over as manager and whether Zinchenko will fit into their tactical setup.

Meanwhile, Zinchenko might be an excellent fit for Newcastle, either at left-back or in midfield; but, the Magpies may not play European football next season, and Zinchenko will most likely want to play in the Champions League.

Left-backs will be in high demand this summer as the Davies deal appears to set off a transfer domino effect, and with Zinchenko obviously falling out of favour at Arsenal, it’s no wonder that he’s being linked with a move away from the Emirates.

This is definitely something to keep an eye on as we approach into the summer.
