AC Milan are just a step away from acquiring Jovan Kirovski to take charge of the U23 project with signatures all that is missing for his arrival.
According to Daniel Longo of Calciomercato.com, former Los Angeles Galaxy sporting director Kirovski is likely to start working for the Rossoneri in July, with contracts secured before then.
The move is viewed as a significant signal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s power at the club, as the two had a good working connection with the LA Galaxy, and he appears to be Ibrahimovic’s selection.
In terms of responsibility, Kirovski will be responsible for Milan’s young sector and will play an important role in the U23 project, which will see Milan enter Serie C.
Juventus and Atalanta both have U23 teams in Serie C, and Milan appears to be on the verge of establishing one beginning in 2024/25. Daniele Bonera is the most likely coach, while Ignazio Abate, who coached Primavera, is also a candidate.
The move is more proof of Milan’s larger vision, which might see more brilliant young players emerge and generate revenue or options for the first team in the future.
