JUST IN: Another Newcastle United Star Set To Leave Club

He might be another clever addition for Eddie Howe’s team.

Newcastle United may be prepared to make a bid this summer, with one star set to depart his current club.

Bruno Guimaraes’ future up in the air

The future of Newcastle’s talented midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is unknown moving into the summer transfer window, which will raise concern among Newcastle fans. Eddie Howe is desperate to keep the Brazilian, but has offered no guarantees if offers come in.

“My intention would be to keep Bruno for as long as we possibly can because I can,” he stated. “But I can never offer guarantees because that would be extremely dumb of me.

“I’ve been in football long enough to understand that you never know what will happen tomorrow. However, he is an important member of the team and is now performing admirably. Much will be determined by our goals and the direction of the club in the next years. We need to demonstrate that we are moving progress.”

Guimaraes has a release clause said to be worth £100 million and is receiving interest from around the Premier League, with current sources stating that a cost of approximately £80 million will be sufficient to see him depart Tyneside, with PSG, Manchester City, and Arsenal all keen.

Newcastle are expected to raise up to £50 million to comply with the Premier League’s financial fair play rules, but selling Bruno for a profit of £55 million would allow them to spend more this summer. And they appear to have already found a replacement.

“Priceless” player set to be sold

Conor Gallagher, a Chelsea midfielder, is scheduled to be moved this summer. Gallagher wants to stay at Chelsea, and Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino wants him to stay, having used him extensively this season.

“I think he is a player with a great commitment to the team,” remarked Chelsea’s manager following their February victory at Selhurst Park.

“He is constantly attempting to compensate in both offensive and defensive scenarios. “Having a player like him is priceless.

However, he is out of contract next season and has yet to agree to new terms on his current £50,000 per week contract, while his homegrown status makes him a more attractive asset for Chelsea to offload as they seek to comply with their own financial fair play regulations.

As a result, Football Insider reports that he will “definitely” be sold this summer, adding Newcastle to the list of suitors, along with Tottenham. The Magpies had already failed to tempt him away from Stamford Bridge, but they are now “weighing up” another move to improve their midfield ranks.

It remains to be seen whether they turn their curiosity into an official proposal, but given their long-standing interest in the midfielder, this is not an improbable scenario.
