JUST IN: AC Milan 24-Year-Old Star Is Likely To Leave Club Soon

Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly interested in AC Milan midfielder Yacine Adli, who could improve the Reds’ roster ahead of the Premier League season.

Nottingham Forest are interested in AC Milan’s Yacine Adli, according to Italian media reports.

According to Calciomercato, several Premier League clubs, including Forest, have expressed an interest in Adli, who is no longer part of the Italian club’s plans ahead of the Serie A season opening against Torino next Saturday.

The 24-year-old had intermittent appearances last season, but new manager Paulo Fonseca is thought to be unimpressed with the midfielder. Adli had 24 Serie A appearances last season but scored only once, despite being employed as a defensive midfielder rather than a creative player.

The Frenchman started his career in Paris Saint-Germain’s academy before struggling to break into the first team. This led in a permanent transfer to fellow Ligue 1 club Bordeaux in 2019; he impressed throughout his two-season stay, earning him a move to Milan.

During his first season in northern Italy, he appeared only six times, but was given an opportunity in the second half of the season as starting midfielder Rade Krunic moved to Fenerbahce.

Forest currently has Ibrahim Sangare and Danilo in the engine room, but an injury to one of the two might leave Nuno short; an addition is probable before the conclusion of the window.
