AC Milan 23-Year-Old Star Could Leave Club Soon

Mikel Arteta has reportedly identified Milan loanee Charles De Ketelaere as a potential target for Arsenal during the summer transfer season.

The 23-year-old Belgian star failed to adapt in Serie A during his debut season with the Rossoneri, but has found fresh life in Bergamo under Gian Piero Gasperini, scoring 10 goals and assisting seven times in 33 games across all competitions.

De Ketelaere signed Atalanta from Milan last summer on a season-long loan with a €26 million total buy option and a potential selling clause. This is anticipated to be activated ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Fichajes via Caught Offside, Arteta feels De Ketelaere is a ‘valued’ player who has the potential to’make the difference’ at Arsenal, and that the outstanding Belgian will be closely monitored throughout the summer transfer window.

Manchester United has also been linked with a bid for the 23-year-old, who appears to fit well into Arteta’s system in North London.

Arsenal is presently top of the Premier League table after 28 games, level with Liverpool and one point ahead of Manchester City.
