JUST IN: Phoenix Suns Secure Rising Star with Exciting New Contract

The Phoenix Suns have signed guard TyTy Washington Jr. to a two-way contract, though the terms of the agreement remain undisclosed. Washington, standing 6’3″ and weighing 195 pounds, has appeared in 42 NBA games over two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks and Houston Rockets, with a career-best performance of 20 points on February 4, 2023

In the previous season, he played for the Wisconsin Herd in the NBA G League, where he ranked 15th in scoring with an average of 21.3 points per game, 8th in assists with 8.3 per game, and 20th in three-point shooting at 42.6%. Washington also had a standout stint with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the 2022-23 G League season, where he led the league in scoring during the playoffs and tied for the most triple-doubles in the regular season.

Washington hails from Phoenix and previously played college basketball at the University of Kentucky, where he earned a spot on the 2021-22 Kyle Macy Freshmen All-America Team. He started his high school career at Cesar Chavez High School in Phoenix and finished at AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, where he was named the MaxPreps Arizona High School Basketball Player of the Year for 2020-21.
