AC Milan could sign Federico Chiesa in a swap deal with Juventus amid links to Inter Milan.
This is according to today’s print edition of the Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Offloading Chiesa appears to be one of Juventus’ top targets in the last weeks of the summer transfer season.
The former Fiorentina winger is not in the plans of new Bianconeri coach Thiago Motta.
Chiesa receives a hefty wage. Juventus would be delighted to get rid of those and make place for fresh attacking signings.
In addition, there is Chiesa’s contract status to consider.
The Italian international’s contract with Juventus continues until the end of next June.
As a result, this summer would be the final opportunity for the Turin club to cash in on Chiesa. Otherwise, they’d have to either sell him for a low fee in January or lose him for free when his contract expired.

Juventus has surely considered all proposals for Chiesa this summer.
Roma and Napoli have expressed tentative interest. However, these clubs appear to have gone in different routes.
Then there were the persistent links with Inter.
The Nerazzurri have apparently been monitoring Chiesa’s position.
This has been done in anticipation of a possible free move next summer. Inter are not strangers to signing big names on free transfers.
