AC Milan have an interest in Adrien Rabiot after his contract with Juventus expired last month, and whilst the midfielder has not found a new club, the Rossoneri are continuing to hope.
Milan is currently focussing on the midfield, as it has been throughout the summer. However, with other areas resolved, or at least improved from where they were at the start of the window, the focus is now on assembling a complete midfield.
Throughout the 2023/24 season, there were challenges with depth and compatibility, and numerous players, particularly Tijjani Reijnders, suffered as a result of a lack of a clear position. Thus, the equilibrium must be addressed.
With this in mind, there has been an emphasis on more defensive-minded players, and Youssouf Fofana and Adrien Rabiot have been the dream duo for the bulk of the summer, but neither deal is moving forward as quickly as the Diavolo would like.
Currently, Fofana’s arrival next summer is a very likely prospect, and his colleague has yet to decide. According to Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), Milan is’still at the window, hoping’. Given that Rabiot’s current demands have left him’stranded’, he may need to tone them back, which might benefit the Rossoneri.
